Sunderbans Pasch Camp
Sunderbans Pasch Camp
Students of Modern High School International (MHSI), who excelled in the *Fit in Deutsch 1* examination, were awarded scholarships to attend a PASCH Camp organised by the Goethe-Institut / Max Mueller Bhavan, Kolkata, from 8 to 11 October 2026 in the Sundarbans.
The camp offered a unique opportunity to experience learning beyond the classroom through sessions conducted in German. Centred on environmental awareness and sustainability, the programme introduced students to the rich biodiversity of the Sundarbans, mangrove ecosystems and conservation efforts. Interactive workshops, a village walk and an excursion into the Sundarbans enabled students to explore these themes while strengthening their German language skills in an engaging, real-world setting.
The students were accompanied by Ms Asmita Chatterjee, German Faculty at MHSI, who also attended a professional development workshop focusing on effective teaching methodologies for developing reading comprehension skills.
The experience celebrated the students’ achievements in German while fostering environmental consciousness, collaborative learning and meaningful language immersion.
