Grade 8 – Chorao

The grade 8 batch trip was undoubtedly one-of-a-kind experience. The students embarked on a memorable kayaking adventure, where paddling through the gentle waves helped ease their nerves. A flock of dolphins greeted them as they were scavenging the waters during the wonderful boat ride in the vast seas of Goa. It was a magnificent display of nature’s marvelous showcase.

The students were also educated on the preventative measures that are being taken in regard to animals’ well-being. They learned how scientists use camera traps to study animals in their habitat, or how so-called “bat boxes” shelter bats. Such efforts underscore the need for biodiversity and delicate ecosystems’ protection.

They also got an opportunity to participate in a sandcastle building competition. Students were grouped in teams of 6 or 7 and competed against each other for building the best castle in terms of aesthetic, functionality and defense system. People were laughing and even arguing as they competed for the title of Sandcastle Champion. It was a great reminder of the importance of imagination and collaboration. Other activities included a heritage walk in the vibrant streets of Panjim, the capital city of Goa.

The combination of adventure, learning, and camaraderie made the trip a truly unforgettable experience for them.
