Flood Relief Collection Drive
When communities face a crisis, even the smallest acts of compassion can come together to make a meaningful difference. With this spirit, the Changemakers Society at Modern High School International (MHSI) organised a Relief Collection Drive to extend support to families affected by the recent floods in Assam.
The initiative brought students and teachers across MHSI together in a shared spirit of compassion and solidarity. Dry rations and essential supplies were generously contributed, reflecting the school community’s desire to stand alongside those facing the aftermath of the floods.
On 19 August 2026, the collected relief material was handed over to Goonj as part of its Rahat disaster-relief initiative. The handover took place on World Humanitarian Day, making the occasion particularly meaningful. The day reminds us of our shared responsibility to respond with empathy and humanity when others are in need.
Through this initiative, the Changemakers Society hopes to continue nurturing a culture of empathy, service and responsible citizenship, encouraging students to remain sensitive to the world around them and to step forward when their support can make a difference.
