Comic Strip & Graphic Novel Session

On February 4, 2025, Professor Abhijit Gupta delivered a talk on comics and graphic novels to Grade 11 students. Professor Gupta teaches English in Jadavpur University including courses on nineteenth and twentieth century literature, comics, science fiction, history of the book and bibliography among others. His talk at MHSI focused on the emergence and growth of comics and graphic novels in Europe and USA as well as in India, specifically Bengal. The session provided an opportunity for students to understand the depth of comic studies and its relevance in literary culture.
