CAS trip to Auroville

CAS trip to Auroville

Our CAS trip to Auroville (grades 11 and 12) was a deeply enriching experience that combined sustainability, culture, and introspection. We began by learning about Auroville’s founding principles of unity, conscious living, and sustainable development, followed by a visit to the Visitor Centre and the iconic Matrimandir. Activities such as a capoeira session introduced us to movement and rhythm, while workshops on coconut shell upcycling and Well Paper taught us how waste can be transformed into meaningful products like keychains, jewellery, bracelets, and bowls.

We explored sound in unique ways at the Sound Garden, playing experimental instruments, and later experienced a calming sound bath that encouraged rest and mindfulness. Our eco-farming visit highlighted sustainable agricultural practices and a forest. At Eco Femme, we learned about sustainable cloth sanitary napkins and social entrepreneurship. The trip also included a heritage walk, kayaking, and beach games in Puducherry, along with yoga and a musical night. Daily reflections helped us thoughtfully process each experience, making the trip both educational and transformative.
