Modern High School International Celebrates Graduation Day for IBDP Batch of 2024
Modern High School International proudly hosted its Graduation Day event on April 5th, 2024, honoring the outgoing International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) batch of 2024. The event was a joyous occasion where parents and family members joined to celebrate the achievements of the graduating students.
The highlight of the event was the presence of Mrs. Kar, Modern High School International’s esteemed director, who graced the occasion as the chief guest. The ceremony featured inspiring speeches by key figures including the IBDP coordinator, Ms. Sanyal, Principal Ms. Ghatak, and Vice Principal Dr. Das. Their words resonated with the students, leaving them with invaluable messages to carry forward in their lives.
The graduating students were honored with certificates and special mementos, including folders adorned with batch photographs, ensuring they have lasting memories of their time at Modern High School International. The ceremony also included the traditional “tussel” ceremony, symbolizing the transition to the next phase of their lives.
Adding to the festive atmosphere, there was a vibrant cultural program featuring traditional dance performances and musical renditions, including a captivating performance of “Memories” by Maroon 5 by the school band, in which the Grade 12 students enthusiastically participated.
The event also provided a platform for the school council president and the valedictorian of the batch to share their enriching experiences during their IBDP journey at Modern High School International, reflecting on the growth and learning they experienced.
Following the formal proceedings, attendees enjoyed an evening of camaraderie over snacks, tea, and coffee, reminiscing about cherished moments, capturing memories through photographs, and sharing anecdotes that highlighted the strong bonds within the Modern High School International community.
